Your Newborn Session
All stages of babyhood have their own special brand of magic. The first stage is the true newborn from birth to about 14 days. At this stage, the baby is fragile yet miraculous and still retains its womb-like behavior of curling tightly and sleeping anywhere. Newborns have the gift of sleeping with intense concentration regardless of their surroundings, so we can pose them in a range of natural positions – snuggled within a textured wrap, on big brother’s lap, over your arm or across your chest. Throughout the shoot, we will capture those fleeting dream-like smiles, contentment, yawns and expressions.

• When should I book my newborn session?
I recommend you book your newborn photo session during your pregnancy. As much as I would love to accommodate everyone, my calendar tends to fill up rather quickly. The absolute best way to make sure you secure a session with me is to book at your earliest convince. Above all, safety is absolutely my first priority with your baby. I will always make sure everything I do with your baby is as safe and comfortable as possible.
• Where will my session take place?
My newborn sessions take place in my beautifully finished, full service studio. Here I have everything we need to create a stunning session. From props to headbands, wraps, bonnets and outfits I have it all. All you need to bring is yourself and your family!
• How long will my session take?
A newborn session usually goes for about 2 to 3 hours allowing your newborn to set the pace, so you and your baby both stay relaxed and have fun together. There is plenty of time to take a break whenever your newborn wants a feed or needs to be settled. The best time to capture your baby as a “true” newborn is usually between 7 and 14 days.
• What's all included in my newborn session?
• In person or on the phone consultation. This is where I will walk you through every step of your upcoming session. I would absolutely love to hear what YOU want to take away from this experience. What is the most important moments you wish to capture and what do you expect to gain from this experience aside from beautiful, timeless memories? I will make this process as easy and as relaxing as possible. It's my job to make sure you have the most positive experience and in turn, get the most beautiful final results.
• Shooting Time. Your session will last approximately 2-3 hours from start to finish. Just enough time to capture every part of your new baby and family while taking our time and letting baby lead the way.
